First waking up early to take the AP English Language test. I really want to do well because of my aspirations of being an English major… I just hope I understand the prompts! The thing about English, I think, is that you have to pick up on one minor detail for the theme of the entire passage to fall into place. Like, “the plates are blue” somehow symbolizes the main character’s craving for chocolate ganache and sudden melancholy. Remind me again why I want to be an English major?
Afterward, going out to lunch with my Momma. We haven’t had true bonding time in weeks. :)
And then taking my second major test of the day, the permit test! Wheee, if I pass I’ll hopefully get my license by November. Happiness.

You could compare all of us to this turtle right now. We’re at the time of our lives where we make or break everything - our characters, our futures, our talents. We have to develop in a certain way and we have to work hard, but the rest of it is luck. So let’s hope that we’re lucky enough not to get caught with the current or swooped on and killed. We just have to hope…
